To the one reading this letter,

You don’t know me, but I think I might know a little about you.

You’re the one with a book always ready. Tucked into your backpack, hidden under your pillow, or maybe open on your phone at midnight. You’re thoughtful. You feel deeply. You notice things other people miss. And sometimes, that makes the world feel a little too loud.

I’m Saera Wyld. I am an author, a librarian, and someone who’s been where you are. Quiet, uncertain, and in love with stories. I didn’t always have the words for what I was feeling, but books gave me a place to feel less alone. They helped me understand myself when it felt like no one else did.

I stumbled on a part time library job when I was twenty, and the rest is history. It wasn’t my planned career path, but it fit. Supposedly, people read to escape the world, but they are so much more. They are connections. There are people out there. Teens, who are the people I write for, but others as well. There are people out there who are carrying more than they should have to, looking for a place to land. They deserve stories that they can relate to and feel less alone.

I write about dragons and danger and magic. At its heart, it’s about people who care. Friends who show up. Families that aren’t perfect. Characters who make mistakes, ask questions, and feel like they don’t have a place in the world. They aren’t flawless, but they are growing.

I hope my stories feel like a hand reaching out. I hope they feel safe. And I hope they remind you that you aren’t alone. You’re not too quiet. You aren’t invisible. You are you. That’s enough.

With love,

Saera
